Internet of Things (IOT) obtained and continues to get great attention in studies as well as applications as it is an intelligently connected system which comprises of smart machines interacting with other machines, environments, objects and infrastructures. It opens the industry to an arena where smart things can work in an alliance without human help. Such a big concept obviously would have equally drastic impacts on the environment. The increasing carbon emissions and the electronic waste that is being generated more and more each passing minute are changing the ways in which technology is contemplated. All the components of IOT are reimagined in a green manner. In this paper all those ways in which this progressively important objective of making things communicate in an environment friendly way will be traversed.
