Islam is a religion founded and based on faith in one Supreme God, Allah. Every follower of Islam believes in this central doctrine and in prophet Muhammad (P) as the last messenger of God. The Quran, the holy book of the religion is a compilation of all God's revelations to the prophet. God revealed his message to the prophet Muhammad (P), through the archangel Gabriel, about the oneness of God, how to worship him and the perfect way of life. Therefore the Quran is considered the unchanged word of God and constitution and the Guide for Muslims in this life. What follows here provides details about the prophet Muhammad (P), Holy Quran, fundamental beliefs, principles and the tenets of Islam, especially the five Pillars' viz. The declaration of faith in God, the Prophet and the Day of Judgment is the first pillar. The other four pillars are prayer, fasting, alms, and pilgrimage Hajj. Though all the five are important the belief in one God and his Prophet. Muhammad (P), is the most important one.
