Supply of adequate grocery or ration has been a major problem in India for many decades. Improper measurement tools, hoarding, black marketing, etc. have been the main reason for the improper supply of food grains. The poor and tribal people should get benefits offered by the Government. But recently, the Uttar Pradesh government has admitted that through the PDS scam, food grain subsidy worth Rs. 30 crore was diverted to the open market in the last three months through 1.86 lakh fraud transactions. Because of corruption and poor monitoring of grocery supply, the people below poverty line are affected the most. Based on these issues, various papers were published by many authors which suggested solutions for this problem. Even after the solutions were brought in light, some recent scams were observed. Hence, this paper analyzes the various solutions given by different authors and tries to bring out an efficient solution for all the loopholes that exist in the present working system.
