Title

Visible Absorption Spectra of Erbium and Neodymium in Arginine as a primary Ligand and Urea as a Secondary Ligands

Abstract

Erbium and Neodymium both belongs to Lanthanides series. Their absorption spectra are studied in solvent form by taking ethyl alcohol as a solvent. Both of these lanthanides have tendency to from complexes with amino acids. In my study Neodymium chloride hexa hydrate or Erbium chloride hexa hydrate are mixed with Arginine as primary ligand and Urea as secondary ligand. Their spectra in solvent form are recorded by UV-VIS Spectrophotometer LABINDA 3000+. Different parameters are calculated by GW software.Some parameters slater-Condon,Landes and Omega parameters give good information about the bond strength. InCase of Erbium most intense light is 2H11/2 is observed and for Neodymium most important line is 4G5/2.These lines arises due to hypersensitive transitions.
