Education shall be directed to the full development of the human personality and to the straightening of respect for human rights and fundamental freedom. Education for human rights and democracy is itself a human right and is a pre-requisite to the full realization of social justice, peace and development. Establishment of human rights culture demands elimination of all kinds of exploitation, not only at the hands of the state; but also to the members of the civil society. The concern of human rights education is not only to expose these practices and weaknesses in law and its enforcement but also to re-examine the existing laws positive approach adopted by them. Education in human rights and values directly or indirectly attempts to help children answer, some of the basic questions they ask themselves, through positive approach and attitudinal changes. It has a lasting impact on the child, shapes his future conduct and guides his way of life.
