Big Data is the collection of large datasets which cannot be handled by traditional computing techniques to store and process data within a specific time limit, therefore Apache foundation developed hadoop. Which is an open source framework and properly used in virtualized cloud environment. It is still unclear what the correct configuration must be. To solve this issues, there are different organization which implemented Hadoop core components HDFS and MapReduce for storage and processing large datasets. According to their own perspective our literature review is mainly focus on hadoop configuration and implementation in virtualized cloud environment.
