Women Entrepreneurship development is a tools to bring economic and social development of any nation. It is a vehicle to improve the quality of life, especially for those women who are living in rural areas where resources are limited or in under-developed condition, the application of which is often very tough and challenging. The entrepreneurship development programmes can be very useful to provide better opportunity to rural women for improving their living standard. In India, women have played a key role in the society but their entrepreneurial ability has not been properly tapped due to the lower status of women in the society. For the real development of any family, society or nation, it is necessary to pay attention over the women empowerment and make them aware about their power, status, talents, right and existence. Women entrepreneurship leads to self-fulfillment and economic stability for women. The present paper is an attempt to highlight the role of rural women entrepreneurs in a tough and challenging environment. The study will highlights the obstacle and challenges faced by the women entrepreneurs in rural areas and improving the Rural Women Entrepreneurship Ecosystem.
