Title

Study of sensitivity and stability of metal oxides in gas sensing Properties

Abstract

Semiconductor metal oxide gas sensors have been extensively used and studied in the gas sensing. The gas stability and sensitivity response of SnO2,ZnO,TiO2 was observed and compared. The chemicals used for the designing of gas sensor were first calcinated at 6500C for 6 hr. Thick films of SnO2,ZnO,TiO2 were prepared by using screen printing technique with Al2O3 as substrate on glass plate. The surface morphologies of these metal oxides were analyzed by and SEM. Sensitivity was found to be more for SnO2 than other metal oxides, supported by SEM studies. It was observed that stability is found better in SnO2 as compare with other metal oxides, sensitivity is also more as compare to other metal oxides. *Corresponding author,E-mail address: bhupesh_mude@rediffmail.com.
