Title

Organisational Citizenship Behaviour initiatives in the Retail Sectors: A Case Study

Abstract

Abstract: Employees are expected to perform a wide range of additional activities called OCB (Organizational Citizenship Behaviour). Instead of fulfilling duties, the behavior of Organizational Citizenship focuses on achieving goals. In simple terms, the OCB is a discretionary individual behavior, not directly or explicitly recognized by the formal reward system, and together promotes the effective functioning of the organization. The purpose of this paper is to gain a better understanding of the consequences of organizational citizenship behavior of employees working in the retail sectors. A pilot study was conducted and the respondents were selected through random sampling. About 125 questionnaires were distributed and only 100 questionnaires were completed correctly. SPSS 23.0 was used to analyse the data. The descriptive analysis was carried out to analyse the demographic profile of the respondents and the factor analysis, extrapolating the important factors that influence the Organizational Citizenship Behaviour of the retail sector in Jharkhand. The study reveals that the male employee is more in comparison with the woman in the Retail Sectors.
