Title

FLOOR PLANNING AUTOMATION FOR BOOTH MULTIPLIER IMPLEMENTATION IN FPGA

Abstract

In most digital and high performance systems such as FIR filters, multiplier is one of the key hardware block, as the system performance is determined by multiplier. This paper presents the implementation and comparison of high speed multipliers Radix2 and Radix4 Booth Multipliers. The multipliers are designed for 16X16 bit multiplication operation. Here we compare the terms according to timing delay and area. From the result it is observed that Radix 4 booth multiplier is more efficient than other multiplier and floor planning is performed form these multipliers.
