Abstract
A new series of co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) complexes with bidentate Schiff base ligand have been prepared by the condensation of 2-amino benzhydroxamic acid and vanillin. The Synthesized ligand and their complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, magnetic susceptibility, infrared spectra, electronic spectra and conductivity measurements. The coordination of the ligand to the metal ions is found to be through azomethine nitrogen and hydorxamino nitrogen of the shiff base in the octaheadral environment.
