Abstract
Language and Culture are intertwined and inseparable. Both are shaped and influenced by one another. The vocabulary of a language springs from the cultural spaces it lives in; and it reflects the cultural interests and concerns of the community in which the language is used. Edward Sapir's studies on Eskimo language proves that just as each text has its environment, the context of situation, so the language system has its environment.
