Title

SURFACE MODIFIED STRONTIUM DOPED BARIUM TITANATE NANOSTRUCTURES H2S SENSOR

Abstract

Abstract: We present Sr-doped BaTiO3 (Ba0.998 Sr0.002 TiO3) nanostructure with sizes of 37-50 nm were synthesised via hydrothermal route and sensors were fabricated by screen printing technique in the form of thick films. The thick film sensor decorated with Sn by dipping method, showed enthralling gas sensing performances to H2S gas with quick response and recovery time at 200 0C temperature for 2% SnCl2 for 5 min. Strontium doping induces a strain in perovskite BaTiO3 lattice. The surface modified 0.2 M % Sr doped BaTiO3 sensor showed ultra-high response to H2S gas. These sensors could be auspicious candidate for selective detection of H2S gas.
