Title

Microwave assisted synthesis of SnO2 nanoparticles: Evaluation of structural, Magnetic and antibacterial activities

Abstract

Tin oxide nanoparticles (SnO2 NPs) was synthesized by Microwave assisted method. Formations of SnO2 NPs were characterized by XRD, FESEM, EDAX, FTIR, PL, VSM and EPR analysis. Synthesized SnO2 NPs exhibits tetragonal rutile structure using XRD pattern. Morphology and chemical composition were identified through FESEM and EDAX spectra. In the case of FT-IR spectra, the Sn-O vibration observed at 618 cm-1 for SnO2 NPs. Optical study was determined by and PL spectra. Diamagnetic behavior was observed synthesized SnO2 NPs using VSM analysis. The native defect was identified by EPR studies. The antibacterial properties of the SnO2 NPs were examined by Gram positive and Gram negative strains.
