Title

One-Pot Three Component Synthesis, Biological Evaluation and Molecular Docking Studies of Novel Indolyl-3,4-dihydroacridinones

Abstract

Abstract: Simple and efficient one-pot method has been developed for the synthesis of indolyl-3,4-dihydroacridinone analogues (4a-4p) in good yields using 2,5-Disubstituted indole-3-carboxaldehyde, 5,5-dimethylcyclohexane-1,3-dione and 4-substitued anilines. The structures of all newly synthesized compounds have been characterized based on IR, 1H, 13C NMR, Mass spectral data and elemental analysis. All the compounds have shown very good in vitro antimicrobial and antioxidant activities. Further, in silico molecular docking study indicates that the synthesized compounds are novel inhibitors of the enzyme Glucosamine-6-phosphate synthase.
