The fecundity of Pearl spot Etroplus suratensis was estimated for 50 matured females fishes collected from the Lower Anicut. The study was conducted from Nov. 2015 to Oct. 2016. The fecundity ranged from 1099 to 4890 and the average range is 2705. The total length was ranged between 140 mm to 198 mm and the weight ranged between 68 g to 142 g. The fecundity was calculated based on different length group of Etroplus suratensis. The co-efficient of correlation for F/TL (log F = -6740 +58.72 log TL); F/ SL (log F= -4761 +57.19 log SL) F /TW (log F = -1813 +45.21 log TW); F/GL (log F = -1057 +370.6 log GL) and F/GW (log = 139.2 +1353 log GW). The ‘r’ value of F/TL = 0.818, F/SL = 0.786, F/TW =0.911, F/GL = 0.867 and F/GW = 0.977. The regression line for TL, SL, TW, GL and GW found to be linear when they plotted against the fecundity on logarthemic scales. The variables are highly significant (p<0.01). Gonadosomatic index of the Etroplus suratensis showed that two peak in February to April and the other peak in June to August
