Title
A New species of Foliar Mycobiont from Myristica swamps of Shendhurney Wildlife Sanctuary, Kollam, Kerala

Abstract
Extensive and systematic field trip collections were conducted from 2014-2016 in the Myristica swamps of Shendhurney Wildlife Sanctuary, Kollam of Kerala State. The present study resulted in the identification of a new foliar mycobiont from this area on a hitherto unrecorded endemic host. Hence, detailed microscopic study was conducted to identify the fungi. It was identified as Asterina vbhosagoudarii sp.nov. on Gymnacranthera canarica (King) Warb. Detailed description and photomicrographs has been provided in this paper.
