Haritaki (Terminalia chebula Retz., Combretaceae) is widely distributed in India and grows up to 1500 metres above sea level. It has a great therapeutic potential. The single plant source of Haritaki is Terminalia chebula Retz, although Ayurvedic scriptures and other medical literature explain how to use its variations and describe their origins, distinctive characteristics, and medicinal uses. Haritaki might be beneficial for a person who regularly consumes it with wise adjuvant combinations. Despite the fact that Ayurvedic literature recommends useful modern drugs such Ritu Haritaki (Seasonal Haritaki with little adjuvant). Numerous pharmacological studies have been carried out on various medicinal plants all around the world. In recent years, Haritaki (Terminalia chebula) has drawn a lot of interest. This study discussed the pharmacological findings made by Haritaki.
