The aim of the current research was to a) Examine Depression among the students and b)Examine hopelessness in students. The measures used were a) Beck Depression Inventory ( Beck, 1961) to examine Depression and b) Beck Hopelessness Scale (Beck, 1963) to examine hopelessness. After having sought the written permission from the management, the data was collected in group and individually using convenient sampling technique. Descriptive statistics like mean and SD and Pearson correlation was used to examine the relationship between hopelessness and depression. The findings of the current investigation revealed that students reported mild depression on BDI and significant positive correlation between hopelessness and depression.
