Title

Leadership Dyanmics for Managers

Abstract

The Present day corporate world is struggling to find appropriate leaders for taking the challenges of 21st century. Although there is no dearth of successful managers in the corporate world but very few amongst them metamorphise themselves as true visionary and a industry leaders. Shrimadbhagwad Gita states that a manager, leader, karta or a doer who is unattached, does not talk vainly, is patient, enthusiastic and is not affected by success or failure, joy or sorrow is a Satva doer and lays emphasis on the satva guna in a manager or a leader or a karta. A karta or a doer who is attached, wishes rewards, is greedy, bears ill will towards others, bad behavior and prone to joy or sorrow is a Raza doer. A Karta or a doer who is incapable, illitrate, arrogant, tricky, job stealing, Sorrowful, lazy and procrastinator is a Tama doer. Majority of karta or managers around us are predominant with Raza or Tama guna because of the prevailing competitive enverionment, leading to dearth of good leaders with satva guna.The article tries to suggest how the mangers with Raza and Tama guna can transform themselves as leaders with satva guna by adopting certain qualities for meeting future corporate requirements for better and effective leaders.
