Title

A STUDY ON CONSUMER INTENTION TO USE M-HEALTH APPS TO ACCESS HEALTH INFORMATION FOR SELF MANAGEMENT

Authors

Abstract

The new advancement of mobile technologies have enabled mobile devices to perform functions previously not possible with handheld devices These innovative applications to address health issues have evolved into a new field of eHealth, known as mobile health or mHealth.Mobiledevices and apps provide many benefits for HCPs(Health care professionals), perhaps most significantly increased access to point-of-care tools, which has been shown to support better clinical decision-making and improved patient outcomes’-Health is thus central to the concept of pervasive healthcare The information technology acceptance model (TAM) to understand mHealth constructs that contribute to behavioural intention to use a mobile app for healthcare. The adoption of the behaviour requires opportunities, resources, or skills that are currently lacking; the person has a complete lack of control. The theory of planned behaviour control can influence intention, as can the attitudinal and normative components The data collected from the respondents are analyzed using statistical tool PLS software. The data analysis and interpretation of the data in the form of tables . Data were analyzed by SmartPLS 3.validity and reliability in establishing the validity of the instrument, factor analysis was carried out The study subjected the data to Factor analysis value of all 9 constructs each of the 16 items loaded strongly on the construct to measure. main loadings for nine of the factors were all.above the threshold 0.7 and thus shows that the model is fit and acceptable. Attitude of consumer influenced to extent by following factors Perceived Usefulness, Perceived Ease of Use, Security, Trust, Cultural Factors, Social Influence Thus all stated hypothesis are accepted. Hypothesis results clearly shows that the intention to use mHealth apps is influenced by attitude of consumer and the factors Perceived Usefulness, Perceived Ease of Use, Security, Trust, Awareness, Social Influence and cultural Factors influencing the attitude of consumer
