WORK-LIFE BALANCE AMONG EMPLOYEES IN A PRIVATE SOFTWARE FIRM

Abstract

Everyone have a mission or a purpose to their life. Everyone can perform better when their thoughts, feelings, emotions, goals and values are in balance. Balance in life between work and personal life is very important. Without balance, eventually burn out, employees negatively affecting performance at work. Work-life balance involves juggling workplace stress with the daily pressures of family, friends, and self. Modern employees demand greater control over their lives and a bigger say in the structure of their job. The aim of this article is to understand why work life balance is important to everyone and to explore the meaning of ``balance'' in the context of the study of work life balance. The main objective of the study is to understand the demographic variables and to evaluate the effectiveness of work-life balance. It makes understood that everyone have a mission or a purpose to their life. Work-life balance is something, which is important for both the employees and the employer. When an employer helps the employee to create the balance between personal life and professional life, it creates a positive image on the employer. This paper sheds on light that the factors involved in Work Life Balance and it tries to suggest measure to improve work life balance.
