Title

REPRODUCTIVE PHYSIOLOGY & HISTOPATHOLOGICAL STUDY OF LAMELLIDENS MARGINALIS & LAMELLIDENS CORRIANUS FROM NANDED REGION, MAHATRASHTRA

Abstract

Monthly examination of gonads gives details information about the reproductive stages of gonads. Different stages were observed in reproductive cycle of Lamellidens marginalis and Lamellidens corrianus. Male and female attained sexual maturity at the same time and breeding was observed from February to August. There are morphological similarities between two sexes. Colour of gonad in mature female is pale yellow and mature male is white.
