Title

INTERACTIONS OF KIO3 IN AQUEOUS 0.1% SALT SOLUTIONS

Abstract

Abstract: The study of density, viscosity of KIO3in aqueous salt solution provides useful information to elucidate ion–ion, ion–solvent, and solvent–solvent interactions. Apparent molar volumes (∅𝑉) and viscosity B-coefficients for KIO3 solutions in aqueous KCl, KNO3, NH4NO3 and pure water system have been determined from density (ρ) and viscosity (η) measurements at 298.15 to 313.15 K using a pycnometer and Ubbelohde viscometer respectively. Masson’s equations, Jones- Dole equation are used to study various interactions among the ion–ion, ion–solvent, and solvent–solvent. Further diffusion controlled reaction rate constant (kd) are also evaluated.
