Abstract

Today’s era of internet has opened a gate of vast variety of opportunities for businesses using social networks, one cannot only share a part picture of one’s networks but also earn customers for one’s business and reach them conveniently. The speed and ease with which the digital media transmit information and help boost a business is amazing. Digital marketing is an umbrella term for the marketing of product or services using digital technologies, mainly on the internet, but also including mobile phones, display advertising and any other digital medium. Digital marketing is promoting or creating brand awareness using internet. Digital marketing is the term used for the targeted, measurable and interactive marketing of products or services using digital technologies to reach the viewers, turn them into customers and retain them. Digital marketing achieves targets of marketing a business through different online channels. Digital marketing means the marketing of products or services using digital channels to reach consumers. The key objective is to promote brands through various forms of digital media. Digital marketing extends beyond internet marketing to include channels that do not require the use of the internet. It includes mobile phones, social media marketing, display advertising, search engine marketing and any other form of digital media. The objective of this study is to give an idea about digital marketing, its importance, objectives and its impacts in Indian market
