Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) established by an Act of Parliament in 1985 has today emerged as largest Open University in the world. The IGNOU Study Centres play very important roles in the successful completion of the open learning courses. The paper discusses the functioning of four selected study centres of IGNOU based in Aizawl city of Mizoram taking a sample of 62 students and 4 centre coordinators. Out of the various support services provided by the study centres viz. orientatation, library facilities, computer facilities, internet facilities, email facilities, tele/video conference, academic counselling classes and 8) photocopy facilities, the students mostly availed only two support services namely orientation and academic counselling classes.
