Abstract
Manju Kapur's third novel is an engrossing story of family life amid the bustle and commerce of the Banwari Lal Cloth Shop. When their traditional Delhi business - selling saris - being threatened by advent of jeans and pre-stitched salwar kameezes, the whole family knows it’s time for change. So begins a series of struggles - to have children, to find education, to find peace.
