A lathe is a machine tool which rotates the work piece on its axis to perform various operations such as cutting, Grooving, knurling, drilling, or deformation with tools that are applied to the work piece to create an object which has symmetry about an axis of rotation. In every industry lathe is most prominent machine to all kind of jobs like Turning, Facing, Grooving, Threading, Taper turning, Boring etc. We are going to introduce a special attachment called the hacksaw cutter on lathe. Our main objective of this project is to cut a cylindrical work piece on lathe machine directly in spite of using any other machine which brings some losses. It replaces the tool post, so that it can be easily operated. It does not involve greater modification or changes, the chuck holds the hack saw blade with few initial adjustments and the work piece is placed on the tray, which is going to be an additional part of the lathe. In small scale industries we have lathe and other machines. If we use this special attachment of hacksaw in lathe we can reduce the initial cost and maintenance cost. Thus this project provides the main advantage
