The reason of the study is to evaluate the effectiveness of circuit training on Reaction Time and Coordination of secondary school hockey players. For this purpose, thirty eight school level Hockey players in the age group of 14 to 16 years were selected as subjects. The selected subjects are divided into two equal groups, in which, Group-I: Circuit Training Group (CTG) (n=19) underwent circuit training and Group–II: Control Group (CG) (n=19) acted as control which did not participate any training but allowed to take part in their regularly playing Hockey game. The training programme was carried out for five days per week for twelve weeks. Prior to and after the training period the subjects were tested for Reaction Time and Coordination and these were assessed by administering Ruler Drop Test in centimeters and Fig 8 Test in seconds respectively. The collected data was examined by using dependent ‘t’ test analysis and the formulated hypothesis is tested at 0.05 and 0.01 levels of significance. The Statistical Package for Social Science and MS Office Excel 2013 was used. After applying the ‘t’ test, it was found that there was significant improvement in the selected motor fitness variables such as Reaction Time and Coordination among Circuit Training Group (CTG) when compared with control group.
