Most biometric systems are typically using only one biometric trait for authentication purpose. The single biometric trait based authentication systems can be easily victimised by adding noise in sensed data. This causes in addition into False Acceptance Rate. The Multibiometric authentication makes the systems more secure by making difficult to add changes in template. Fused Multimodal authentication is based on feature extraction methods. Fused multimodal systems which also have several advantages over unidiomatic systems such as enhanced verification accuracy, larger feature space to accommodate more subjects and higher security against spoofing. The centralized database of these systems may be a single point failure. Visual cryptography can add the security to centralised database by dividing the data in the form of shares. The aim of this study multimodal biometric authentication techniques and also analyse the security of these techniques with multiple method and increase the security of template biometric authentication.
