In an outset the Sivaganga district have a famous culture and daily worship god like Shiva (Ayyanar temple). In the core of worship of large Hindu temple is the complex because it has different activities are structured, and upon which the order of festival is said to depend. In this article, which has emphasizes observations with exegeses by local priests and insights from ideological studies of Saiva Sidhanta philosophical texts, describes daily worship in the temple of Lord Shiva in the village of Odathur, Tamil Nadu South India. It depicts that on to consider the significance of the principal stages – function, decoration, food offering, wearing of new cloth in the puja rite which forms the basis of worship in Saivite temples.
