Title

QUALITY OF WORK LIFE OF UNSKILLED WOMEN EMPLOYEES: A REVIEW OF LITERATURE

Abstract

Quality of work life become one of the significant human resource dimensions today. Every organization including manufacturing or service sector, have issues such as attrition, employees’ commitment, productivity etc. depending upon the dimensions of Quality of work life. Dimensions of QWL include job satisfaction, organizational commitment, reward and recognition, participative management, work-life balance, employee welfare, work environment, etc. The performance of the organization directly depends on the QWL of employees. The objective of this research is to examine the Quality Work Life dimensions & related issues and hence to develop an integrated construct of QWL of unskilled Women employees. Literature review finds that there are mixed results of the empirical studies on this issue. Also found that variables taken were different for different studies. Since there is no consensus on the QWL, the present researches made an attempt to extract and develop a suitable model for the study. This paper on news QWL dimensions such as job satisfaction, employee welfare, performance, from both employer and employee perspective & presented the outcome in encapsulated manner.
