The world is shifting and there is an agreement about how the effects of these developments will relate to or lead to conflict. Whilst researchers continue to agree directly that climate change has a threat to multiply conflicts in communities or nations that are already vulnerable due to other social, political and economic factors, the problem is at least a threat that can cause conflicts in communities or states that are already vulnerable. This Chapter introduces this work and outlines climate research, including current and new studies on climate change and conflict linkages. This article presents a series of books. It also addresses the key causes of climate change vulnerability, and discusses the manifestation of climate disputes.
