The Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is a wireless network consisting of small nodes with sensing, computing and wireless communication capabilities. WSN are generally used to supervise actions and report measures, in a specific area or environment. It transmits data back to the Base Station (BS). Data communication is usually number of hops from node to node in the direction of the BS. Sensor nodes are limited in power, computational and communication bandwidth. The Main goal of researchers is to find the efficient routing protocol which consumes less energy. This survey details about the various routing protocols with merits and demerits.

Energy Utilization, data aggregation, topology management, throughput, Network lifetime.
