Plants are the model source of medicine in Ayurveda and traditional medicine systems. In the present investigation, the qualitative and quantitative analysis for the presence and absence of phytochemicals has been made and, some of the phytochemical extracts tested for its medicinal importance. The initial phytochemical investigation was performed on ethanolic extract of Citrullus colocynthis (L.) Schrad fruits, Prosopis juliflora Swartz leaves and Datura stramonium leaves and stems revealed the presence of Alkaloids, Flavonoids, Saponins, Tannins, and Phenols. In the present study, pharmacological studies of a given medicinal plant extract show that it has excellent antioxidant, Haemolytic, anti-bacterial, and anti-fungal activity against plant extracts. The recent investigation is focused on the phytochemical and pharmacological studies of the different medicinal plant extracts like C. colocynthis (L.) Schrad, P. juliflora (Sw.) DC and D. stramonium L.
