With excessive non-renewable energy consumption, we humans are facing plentiful difficulties. Renewable sources of energy are considered our only hope to rise from this situation. Solar energy is one of them which have spread all over for its easy availability, effective-cost and reliability. Solar resource is unlimited the government is trying to implement the use of Solar panels as an energy source in rural and sub urban areas for lighting the street lights. This work is about using non-conventional energy i.e. solar energy for mobile battery charging. Solar chargers are simple, portable and ready to use devices which can be used by anyone especially in remote areas. Solar energy is a renewable energy source that provides power without producing greenhouse gases the cost of making power from solar is decreasing now a days leading to many uses that affects you to your daily life. In this project we are using the concept of energy storing in a rechargeable battery by using solar energy for charging of mobile phone, and run different appliances such as LED Street light, DC motor and Fan. Solar energy is available only in the presence of sunlight. To overcome this drawback rechargeable battery is used.
