This paper is an effort to find the influence of parenting style on mental health of adolescents. In the present paper Descriptive Survey Method has been employed. A sample of 120 adolescent students has been taken by using random sampling technique. Mental Health Inventory by Jagdish and Srivastava (2005) and Parenting Style Scale by Gupta and Mehtani (2017) is used to assess parenting style of students. Mean, standard deviation, anova and correlation techniques are used to ananlyze the data. It was found that the students having democratic and permissive parenting style had better mental health than those students having autocratic and uninvolved parenting style. Mental health of adolescents are positively and significantly related with democratic and permissive parenting style, but negatively and significantly related with autocratic and uninvolved parenting style. It may be concluded from the table that as increase in the score of democratic and permissive parenting style, mental health of adolescents also increases, while increase in autocratic and uninvolved parenting style, mental health of adolescents decreases and vice-versa.
