Title

CRUDE OIL PRICE AND INDIAN STOCK MARKET

Abstract

The present research paper is an attempt to study the impact of crude oil prices on Indian Stock Market. In order to know the impact, crude oil prices have been analyzed with the secondary data of Nifty-50 and Nifty Midcap-100 indices. Besides this, historical trends have also been studied by taking data on crude oil prices and selected indices of Indian Stock market. The collected data of Nifty-50 and Nifty Midcap-100 indices were analysed by applying descriptive statistics and regression analysis through SPSS-21. The result of study indicates that there is no significant impact of crude oil prices on Indian Stock Market indices Nifty-50 and Nifty Midcap-100 indices
