The objective of this paper is to examine the role of globalization in the defence strategies of India. Even India is fastest growing economy and have huge expenditure on defence but still India is increasing the defence budget. Since 1990 to till date there were many changes has been seen after globalization in all the sectors. Defence strategies towards our surrounding nations have been also changed. Before globalization India was the member of so many international organizations but its role was limited at international level. However, since late 1990, Indian defence research and development sector has improved much better than earlier and achieved new heights and quality. Earlier, only government was involved in manufacturing of defence equipments and weapons but now private sector is also playing a significant role.
