Abstract
Radiation is part of our environment. We are living in the sea of harmful and life threatening atmosphere of these radiations. The cells of living organism can be damaged by exposure to the radiations. The cells can stop functioning and it can have negative impact on reproduction. Not only humans, animals and plants are also greatly affected by the radiations. But along with negative aspects there are positive aspects also. There are various applications of radiations which have made the life of mankind safe and secure. They have profound application in medical field, smoke detectors to warn us from fire and many industrial uses.
