The academic sphere especially teaching-learning activities have gone through different experimentations in recent times in tune with realization of continuous improvement and applicability of Information Communication Technology (ICT). A latest trend doing the rounds is fusion of real life classroom with internet environment popularly known as smart classroom. The present article is the reflection of the concept of smart classroom through the eyes of a Library & Information Science student encompassing the definition of smart classroom, recommended standards, technology integration, characteristics, applications, and outreach in a compact manner. So that, the article may be of help to newcomers to get an overview of smart classroom and hopefully may pave the way for infusion of new thought into its working and greater learning community acceptance.
