Title

Design and Analysis of Feed Water Storage Tank

Abstract

The de-aerator is one of the important equipment in a power plant, because of its degassing and preheating role. The main function of the de-aerator is to eliminate the gases (primarily the oxygen) from the feed water before it enters the boiler, to avoid corrosion of the power plant installation. The de-aerator mainly consist of two parts i.e. first is feed water storage tank (FWST) & second is de-aerator. Firstly the demand of de-aerated water is calculated then the design of feed water storage tank (Pressure Vessel) is done. In this paper, the design of feed water storage tank of de-aerator is carried out. Further CAD model and static structural analysis is performed.
