This review paper presents the useful information about the artificial neural network (ANN) and fuzzy logic uses for the optimization of all types of smart structures in an efficient and effective way in the less period of time. The ANN and the fuzzy logic are the very important toolbox of the MATLAB which will use for the optimization process through the modeling. The ANN will consider the non-linear data and perform the analysis by several methods. We will consider the Collapsible roof which is a part of the smart structures and is generally used over stadiums or halls it will use more than one times when it is required with the on-off operation. A review of past year case studies and their methods for optimization have been presented in this article and it will also explain about how optimization with these two (ANN and fuzzy logic) toolbox can be done in structural engineering and future engineering research and applications.
