Internet and e-resources are used in Indian academic institutions and their libraries creating an environment that is continuously changing in terms of digitalizing. Through electronic resources use, faculty have access to global resources for their academic activities. Multimedia and the Internet have further made the teaching and research functions of faculty members more challenging and easy. As the academic community is becoming aware of potential uses of Internet and e – resources, these are being put to more use; hence there is a need to evaluate the purpose of utilizing Internet sources in order to provide relevant services. The occurrence of information and transmission technology has led to the benefit of electronic resources in libraries. Familiarity and access of electronic resources among the faculty of aided Christian colleges is a topic for the present study, because it assists teaching, learning and exploration activities of the current user community, particularly that of faculty members. The aim of this survey is to find out the awareness, contemplation and the utilization of e – resources by the faculty members of the aided Christian colleges. Out of 400 questionnaires distributed, 325 valid responses were received back. The pronouncement has found that the superiority of faculty respondents is well cognizant about the e – resources and most of them are utilizing e – resources for various purposes through various methods. High level of the faculty respondents is using desktop computers for approaching the e-resources. The study also admit that roughly all faculty delegates are gratifies with the amenity available for accessing e-resources.
