The Arab spring protest that took place in 2011 as a result of aversion to the Assad government is what led to the Syrian Civil War. The civil war from the beginning has been a controversial topic that has led to discussions and debates between the key players and also the neighbouring countries. It is an event that has created havoc and has induced tremendous fear in the minds of the Syrian people and also the people of its neighbouring nations. This paper examines the war as a regional and international problem and also looks into the role of the external countries and their effects on the war. It further goes on to explaining about the aid that Israel has given to the refugees of the civil war. It also studies the relation that United States and Israel have during the course of the war. It is observed that International diplomatic efforts also have so far failed to secure a lasting cease-fire to the Syrian conflict.
