Title

Green Route Synthesis Approach to extract Zinc Oxide (ZnO) Nanoparticles Using banana leaves

Abstract

Metal oxide nanoparticles have wide range of applications in the field of sensing from past decades as the researchers are working on it and have reported the same. In this paper the synthesis of ZnO nanoparticles using banana leaves has been considered using green synthesis approach using solution combustion method to extract ZnO. The green synthesis approach reduces the toxicity level and is not harmful when compared to the commercial ZnO nanoparticles which are synthesized using chemical approach. The as-synthesized metal oxide nanoparticles were then characterized by X-ray Diffraction (XRD), UV-Visible Spectroscopy (UV-Vis), Fourier Transform Infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM). The synthesized ZnO nanoparticles were confirmed with size of 18nm.
