The Housing Development Finance Corporation Limited is a pioneer institution in the private sector which provides a wide range of loan products and services such as housing loans and non-housing loans at attractive rate of interest with the help of strong distribution network upgraded with modern technology, online portals and simplified process. The company gives appropriate attention to marketing strategy, appraisal system for their qualified and expertise human talent, and physical surroundings for delivering its services effectively. The study attempts to examine the financial performance of the selected housing finance company pertaining to the period 1999-00 to 2016-17. The data collected from various annual reports of the selected company has been tabulated and appraised through various performance ratios. The company actualised the remarkable financial performance by figuring out noticeable business operations and recorded conclusive growth in housing loan outstanding, total loan outstanding to total assets, return on net worth, earning per share, capital adequacy ratio etc. The company had also efficiently controlled its staff expenses and establishment expenses with increasing scale of business and enhanced its profitability. The suggestions are made to enhance the financial performance of the company.
