Title

AN INVENTORY MODEL STARTING WITH SHORTAGES WITH LOGARITHMIC DEMAND, CONSTANT AMELIORATION AND WEIBULL DETERIORATION RATE

Abstract

In today’s world, we have seen that many businesses are starting with shortages and we find many products that follow Logarithmic demand pattern. In this paper, we have developed an inventory model, in which the inventory is allowed to start with shortages. In this model, we have considered two parameter Weibull deterioration rate with Logarithmic demand. Constant amelioration rate is assumed for on-hand inventories. Suitable numerical example is provided to illustrate the model. Sensitivity analysis has been done to examine the effect of changes in the values of the parameters on the optimal inventory policy.
