In this paper we present an overview on 2D to 3D picture transformation for the HD image or video. In this cutting edge time 3D equipment prominence is expanded however, 3D substance are as yet overwhelmed by its 2D part. According to this paper we did a deep research on existing 2D to 3D conversion technique. Here we try to find out the current existing problems where future researchers can work on. As we can see in this area lots work are done but still most of the approaches are not up to the mark there is need of lots of improvement.
