Analysing the Role of Audit Committee in Assessing Audit Risk
Abstract
The various risks related to conducting an audit is difficult to assess and measure, and this has always been a serious threat to the audit committees. This paper focuses on understanding the various types of audit risks namely control risk, inherent risk and detection risk and analysing the role of an audit committee in assessing the same. The study also throws light on the evolution and various approaches to audit risk model.
